The Home Office certifies and forwards ‘import’ extradition requests that have been prepared by prosecuting authorities, to the British Embassy, or High Commission in the requested state. Requests are received primarily from the Crown Prosecution Service and the Serious Fraud Office. In Scotland, the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service process outgoing extradition requests.
