Saudi Arabia creates new body to handle MLA requests

Saudi Arabia’s Attorney General, Sheikh Saud Bin Abdullah Al-Muajab, has announced the creation of a body to handle requests for mutual legal assistance in criminal cases and coordinate all of the relevant government departments. Speaking at the 22nd Annual Conference of the International Association of Public Prosecutors, Al-Muajab said that the new body was created to meet international requirements, particularly UN Conventions against Corruption and Organised Crime.
