Palestine Applies for INTERPOL Membership

On 4 August 2015, the Palestine News & Info Agency reported that Palestine has applied to join INTERPOL. The report is here. The application was signed by the Palestinian Prime Minister, Rami Hamdallah. 135 states have recognised Palestinian statehood to date. Israel rejects such recognition, arguing that a state is created through negotiations only.
