Turkish preacher, Fethullah Gulen is accused by the Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, of orchestrating a failed coup attempt in 2016. It was reported last week that the White House was studying the legal ramifications of extraditing Mr Gulen, who currently resides in Pennsylvania, as part of an effort to persuade Turkey to stop putting pressure on Saudi Arabia over the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi. However, on Saturday, President Trump told reporters that Mr Gulen’s extradition was not under consideration.
