Vijay Mallya confirms he will appeal against his extradition order

Last week, Senior District Judge Emma Arbuthnot, the Chief Magistrate, decided that Dr Vijay Mallya could be extradited to India.  You can read our coverage of that decision here.

It has now been confirmed by Dr Mallya’s legal team that a notice of appeal against that decision will be served at the High Court.  Until leave to appeal is granted and an appeal date is scheduled, Dr Mallya will remain on bail.
