This week, the extradition hearing of Taimoor Zaman and Anthony Nnamdi Okeakpu is being heard at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London. The US has requested the extradition of Mr Zaman and Mr Okeakpu who are accused of helping to run a hacking organisation known as ‘Infraud Hacking Group’ (IHG), said to be the group behind a dark web forum which has caused more than £409m in losses to individuals and banks. The US alleges that IHG members stole credit cards and identity information and posted it online.
Mr Zaman is alleged to have been the forum’s moderator and administrator. Mr Okeakpu is a full-time student who was allegedly another administrator of IHG.
